Lallatin and Nichols Families Recognized as Super Heroes
The Mayor and Council of the City of Soda Springs are pleased to recognize the Lallatin and Nichols Families for Lallatin’s Food Town 100 Year Anniversary. The City commends these families for their history of excellence as business owners and being valuable members of the Soda Springs community.
The hometown grocery store was started by Chris Lallatin in 1916 and has stayed in the family for 100 years. The Lallatin and Nichols families have resided in Soda Springs raising their families here for several generations and are proud to operate a locally owned “mom & pop” grocery store where they value their customers, friends and neighbors. For 100 years they have continued the family tradition of putting the customer first.
The Lallatin and Nichols families have been continuous supporters of Soda Springs clubs and organizations and especially school groups and the youth. It is common to hear Lallatin’s as a sponsor for the Fourth of July activities, Caribou County Fair & Rodeo, Lions Club, Caribou Field Archers, Idan-Ha Theatre and many more.
The current fourth generation owners are Lonnie, Jerry and Dennis Nichols the sons of Ronald & Connie Nichols and they have continued the legacy of excellent business operation and generous community support.
The Mayor and City Council honor the Lallatin and Nichols Families for being “Soda Springs Super Heroes”.
