Beta Sigma Phi Recognized as Super Heroes

The Mayor and City Council recognized Beta Sigma Phi as “Soda Springs Super Heroes”. The roots of this group began during the Great Depression. Walter Ross, the founder, founded it in hopes of bringing women together once a month to enjoy being with a group of ladies, performing service, expanding social relationships, education and enlightenment and learning from informative programs.

The Soda Springs Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi was started in the 70’s and since then the members have honored their roots by serving our community. Six of their members organize, publicize and man the Caribou County Food Bank and work with the Boy Scouts to organize the annual food drive which greatly helps to stock the Food Bank. The local Beta Sigma Phi sorority is continually providing volunteer services to benefit our community through the highway clean up, generating funds for donations to organizations such as the Library, Senior Citizens Center, Pink Ladies and VFW. In addition they annually provide lunch to all the teachers at Tigert Middle School on Teacher Appreciation Day!

The Mayor and City Council would like thank all the past and present members of the Beta Sigma Phi for their continued service to our community.
